• Geologist, graduated from the 5th Lyceum of Thessaloniki (in 1985) and entered the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki after sitting state exams the same year. He graduated from University with an upper second class honours degree.

  • He received the First Certificate in English (University of Cambridge) in 1983.

  • Served as chief manager in I. KIRIAKIDIS MARBLE GRANITE SA and was in charge of geological research, specialized in mineralogy/ledge availability and also elaborating technical and environmental studies for quarry exploitation.

  • He founded his company on 1-09-1995 providing geological, geophysical and other scientific services as well as providing technical advice.

  • He has been scientific associate to Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Technical University of Crete.

  • He co-operated with ‘’Cosmos Building Materials Shanghai ’’ Company located in Shanghai, where he was in charge of research for marble deposits in South and Central China.

  • He did research on deposits mainly for Greek companies in Iran, Syria, Balkan peninsula, Egypt and Turkey.

  • He took part in Prefecture and Regional Councils in order to convince local societies to accept the operation of marble and industrial mineral quarries.

  • He took part in international geological conferences.

  • Participation in local and archeological councils as well as the C.A.C. (central archeological council).

  • Co-operation with the biggest marble and granite companies in order to receive authorization to establish and operate quarries.

  • Specialized in studies for underground exploitation with mining in Volakas, Drama.

  • He took part in dozens of special controlled explosions and non – explosive techniques in order to prepare marble excavation works.

  • Completion of hundreds of studies of any activity needing environmental restoration.

  • Calculation of geological excavated and exploitable deposits of the biggest marble quarries in Greece and abroad in order to calculate the remaining life time.

  • Creation of green zones and alternative management proposals / suggestions of quarry waste materials (overburden) in marble quarries, as well as industrial minerals and mines.

  • Discovery of dozens of deposits of great commercial value mainly in the areas of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.

  • He has conducted techno – economical studies of deposits mining, which have been approved by the Ministry of Environment and Energy.

  • Member of the board of Management of Marble Companies Association of Eastern Macedonia and Thrace where he has offered his services since 1994.
